Canada is awesome. No, truly, it is.
However, when it comes to entertainment we fall flat on the international scale. We do have actresses/actors, musicians and other artists that are internationally recognized but almost everyone thinks they're American. It's like no one can believe something awesome originated from Canada other than maple syrup.
Tonight at 9pm Canada will be #1. The JUNOs & the Geminis receive post-show comments of Oh! That award show thing funded by our government was on last night... (especially from me). However the MMVAs is the time for us to shine other than TIFF. Unlike the 2012 JUNOs we won't be depending on Mariana's Trench to hold the fort as stand out mainstream talent since Bieber was unavailable. Even the winners didn't attend the Ottawa-hosted fest. Understandable...I mean, it is Ottawa.
